Introduction
Welcome to DMusic’s 2005 Summer Battles. First of all, I promise a 100% fair tournament run by the administrative staff. No one running this tournament will be entered in it.

This is an AUDIO battle tournament: NOT TEXT. This tournament will be held during July, consist of 24 opponents, and will last 4 rounds. Each round will last 7 days. The battles will be 1 vs 1 until the final round. The final round will be a 3 way free for all, for all the prizes ((still pending)).

Tournament Rules
1. All opponents must post verses with the same name that they signed up for the tournament with. If you don't, your opponent may have you disqualified. Tracks will then be uploaded on this page for everyone to vote on.
(Only votes located on THIS PAGE will count: No votes on your individual user/artist page will count)

2. All opponents must post their verses by the specified due date and time. No extensions will be given for any reason. If there is a problem with your music site then upload your track here to me (dizeazedmc@hotmail.com) until your site is back up. If you post any time past the due date (even 1 minute) it will be up to your opponent whether your verse will count. There will be no exceptions to this rule.

3. All verses must be within the specified time limit. This includes your entire track, not just the verse itself. If your track runs over the time limit, your opponent may have you disqualified.

Battle Time Limits
Round 1: 1 - 3 minutes
Round 2: 1 - 3 minutes
Round 3: 2 - 4 minutes
Finals: 3 - 6 minutes

4. All opponents must vote on at least 3 battles each round, as well as explain with moderate detail as to why their vote was cast.
If you are partaking in this battle and do not vote, you will be disqualified

5. I thought this one would be common sense, but I guess I was wrong. If you upload a track that is NOT... YOURS... You will be disqualified!

Tournament Schedule
Each round will have the same schedule:

Battles Posted: Wednesday (Around 12:00 PM PST)
[July: 6, 13, 20 & 27]
Verses Due: Sunday (11:59 PM PST)
[July: 10, 17, 24 & 31]
Voting Ends: Wednesday (10:00 AM PST)
[July: 13, 20, 27 & Aug. 3]

How to vote
- All votes are to be posted on the first tracks comment section. You are not to place anything where it says:
* * * PLACE YOUR VOTE/FEEDBACK ON OPPONENTS TRACK COMMENTS: ALL POSTS HERE WILL BE DELETED! * * *
(It will make it much easier for me to count the votes, and for people to scroll through and read others feedback, if all the votes/feedback is one page)

- Voters must have AT LEAST 200 “user posts” to vote on the battles, unless they are taking part, or have taken part, in the tournament. If you do not have 200 user posts, don't even bothering posting because your vote/feedback will be deleted. However, you can post anything you'd like in the
Battle Thread

- There will be NO BEEFING OR VOTE SWAYING in the track comments. If you aren't voting or giving feedback, you have NO business posting in the track comments. If you have beef, take it to the
Battle Thread. All beef, vote swaying, nonsense, etc will be deleted.

- If no "moderate detail" is given with your vote, it will not count!!!
Ex: "I vote for Dizeazed because his track was dope and the other kid sucks" would NOT be a moderate explanation... and therefore the vote would not count.

MAFFMATIX:
I love the beginning: "Dan hugs boys.. Horrible Battle" I’m a firm believer if you got straight letters in your name like that (H.B.) you're just asking for it. "Not one muthafuckin G willin to be his homie" Not a whole lot of strong punches found in this track, but there a lot of strong lines in general. I like the "full tits" line, this one jumped out at me. Also like how ya showin love to GTA: SA the greatest muthafuckin game in the world. What I like about Maffmatix is that you never know what to expect from him and I feel that greatly showed in the battle. Also, I hate rewinding.. even if someone spits a fuckin dope line, I wont rewind, I'll remember it.. The only reason I ever gotta rewind is cuz you can’t understand someone. So, let me take the time out to thank Maff for projecting from his diaphragm when spittin his lyrics.. To all those cats who people can’t understand what the fuck they're saying over a beat, you could learn something from this. Overall great job, what you lacked in punches you made up in presentation.

DANHB:
I’m feelin this one.. Especially with that beat backing you, it creates an atmosphere for the track. Unfortunately, I had a hard time understanding some lines. Its funny, its the opposite of those cats who you cant understand cuz they mumble with no emotion. You definitely got the emotion, but your almost too hyped up or somethin.. (Like the reason Juice lost to Supernatural) You probably had punches, but between being somewhat inaudible and the outstanding number of sports references, I just didn’t catch them. I’m not saying you cant use sports references, but when there’s a substantial amount of them present, someone who doesn’t watch sports like myself aren’t going to feel the impact of the meaning. However, don’t let that take away from the fact that your flow was on point and had plenty emotion backing it.

IN CONCLUSION:
Both emcees came hard, even though I feel both lacked any hard-hitting punches. That being said, I really had to judge this one on overall presentation, simply because I find both tracks had a great deal of emotion, and are very alike in many ways. My vote goes to -- MAFFMATIX
